File Menu (Cont.)
Save Saves the active project. The first time you save the project, the Save As dialog
is invoked, to allow you to specify the file name/target directory. By default, all
project files are saved to AMX Control Disc\TPD4\Panels folder.
The target directory that you set here becomes the default target directory for all
subsequent project files.
Save As Opens the Save As dialog to allow you to specify a new file name and target
directory.
Save As Different
Panel Type
Opens the Save As Different Panel Type dialog, containing options that allow you
to save the active project, configured for a different panel type than was specified
when the project was created.

details.
Import Touch Panel
Template
Opens the Import Touch Panel Template dialog, where you can select a Touch
Panel template file (*.VAT, *.TPT) to import.

Export As VisualArchitect
Template
Opens the Export As VisualArchitect Template dialog, where you can export the
active Project as a VisualArchitect template file (*.VAT).
Note: The VisualArchitect application is available for purchase from
www.amx.com, and must be installed in order to activate this menu option.

Export As G4 PanelBuilder
Template
Opens the Export As G4 PanelBuilder Template dialog, where you can exports
the active Project as a G4 PanelBuilder template file (*.TPT).
Note: The (free) G4 PanelBuilder application is available from www.amx.com,
and must be installed in order to activate this menu option.

TPD Conversion Wizard Launches the TPD Conversion Wizard, which guides you through the process of
converting pre-G4 (TPDesign3-generated) panel files to TPD4-compatible files.
See the Using the TPD Conversion Wizard section on page 58 for details.
Print Opens the Print dialog. Use the options in this dialog to select and configure the
target printer. The options in this dialog vary, depending on the printer(s) installed
on your PC.

Print Preview Opens the Print Preview window, which displays a preview of how the file will
appear on the printed page, based on your printer settings (see Print Setup). See
the Print Preview Window section on page 33 for details.
Print Setup Opens the Print Setup dialog, where you can select and configure the target
printer. The options in this dialog vary, depending on the printer(s) installed on
your PC.
Exit Exits TPD4. The program will prompt you to save any unsaved changes before
quitting.
