SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The Zetron Series 4000 Communicaons Control System is a full-
featured radio dispatch console for a mulchannel radio system.
It provides operators with an ecient means of monitoring and
dispatching with up to 48 radios, both convenonal and trunked.
A Series 4000 system is comprised of a common control unit and
one or more console operator posions.
Common Control Units (CCU)
The CCU is the central “switch” that routes audio between
radio/phone channels and console operang posions. Series
4000 CCUs are available in two capacies to match your
applicaon needs.

Consoles
The Series 4000 can be controlled and monitored from up to
sixteen console operator posions. Three dierent styles of
console posions are available and may be mixed in the same
system: rackmount, desktop, and PC-based consoles. Any of
these consoles may be located remotely and connected to the
Series 4000 via Zetron’s IP Console Gateway.
Designed for Reliability
Depending on the applicaon, the Series 4000 can be congured
for “no single point of failure” or full redundant operaon. The
Model 4020 and 4048 CCUs, with their dual system buses, may
be congured with dual system controllers and dual power
supplies to ensure that no single failure will result in a complete
loss of operaon. For highly crical applicaons, the Series 4000
CCUs can be congured for full redundant operaon.
